Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre

Plas Menai is the National Outdoor Centre for Wales based on the banks of the Menai Strait overlooking the Isle of Anglesey, 2 miles outside of Caernarfon. The centre is owned and operated by Sport Wales, the centre and facilities are set in four acres of landscaped grounds with a large waterfront and dedicated slipway. The Centre is a recognised RYA and BCU training centre and offers technical courses in sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, cruising, kayaking and has a long and successful history for training instructors to work in the adventure sports industry. The centre has an AALA licence and carries the Adventuremark and Learning Outside the Classroom quality marks. During the summer holidays, Plas Menai runs a variety of youth activity holidays for adults and children aged between 8-17yrs. The centre also runs adventure activities for families, schools, groups and team building events for corporate customers.Other on-site facilities include a Mountain Bike Skills Track, High & Low Ropes Course, Orienteering Course, 17m Swimming Pool, Climbing wall and fitness room.

The Centre can accommodate up to 147 people in comfortable single/twin-bedded and family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, televisions and safe in the main complex and in our onsite dormitory style houses and is open throughout the year, (closed during the Christmas period). The accommodation carries a Visit Wales 4 Star Activity Centre Rating. We have an onsite dining room with full catering service and a fully licensed bar.Along with 4 self contained self catered houses available for rental and three bunkhouses. We can cater for conferences and courses and as well as our main conference room we have 4 breakout rooms and a lounge area. We welcome individuals and groups, large and small and the perfect base for exploring all that North Wales has to offer.
