Choose from over eight dynamic activities designed to challenge, inspire, and unite your team. Glide through serene aqueducts by canoe, embrace the thrill of river tubing, or push the limits with a high adrenaline canyoning experience. Every session is crafted to build trust, boost morale, and spark collaboration.
In addition to the activities there is also large group catering to keep everyone energized. Plus, their bookable indoor and outdoor meeting and conference spaces, ensure that every event is as comfortable as it is thrilling.
Accommodation and relaxation
Housed in a beautiful timber-framed building, Without A Paddle Hotel has been part of Llangollen’s story for centuries. Exposed beams, historic features, and character-filled rooms make every stay feel like a step back in time- without sacrificing modern comforts.
Each of their seven rooms has been individually decorated and restored, staying true to the building’s old-world charm while creating a warm, welcoming space for travellers. No two rooms are alike, meaning every stay offers a unique taste of Llangollen’s history.

Dining experience
The wood panelled Gales Wine Bar is the award winning centre of the business. Its character is largely unchanged from the original 9 table experience back in the 70’s. It now boasts 20 tables but still works on the foundations of great food using the best local ingredients and wine expertly picked to offer the best range and value.
'Simple food done well' has long been the motto in the kitchen at Gales, and while the team here do like to, on occasion, dazzle with something outrageous, the core principles are never strayed from too far. Steaks, burgers, ribs, and other classics remain on the menu next to the ever changing and evolving specials. They want to cater to everyone here. Gales has always been a place where groups big and small can be happy in the knowledge that their tastes will be catered for. Meat lovers are spoilt for choice, but the vegetarians and vegans are not forgotten.
Gales has a busy, informal nature with service that is friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever you come through the door you know you will receive the same amiable welcome.
Versatile meeting spaces
They have large spaces both inside and out. Where they can accommodate up to 200 people. There is also projecting and sound equipment available if needed. Catering and refreshments can be provided during your conference. They can also tend to any special requirements that may be needed.
