Aber Falls Whisky Distillery is the first of its kind in North Wales for more than 100 years. The distillery opened in 2017 and is located in the village of Abergwyngregyn in Gwynedd. The award-winning distillery offers a portfolio of premium spirits, produced using sustainably sourced local ingredients, including water from the Rhaeadr Fawr, the famous Aber Falls waterfall.
Aber Falls has been focused on creating a Welsh Whisky using pioneering new practices and the distillery’s first release of single malt launched this year.
The guided distillery tours on offer allow visitors to discover more about the journey of creation of the 100 percent single malt Welsh Whisky, sample the award winning gins and liqueur and give an opportunity to meet the local team and learn about what happens day-to-day.
The new and innovative on-site visitor centre opened its doors this year adding another element to the destination. The new visitor centre has multiple meeting rooms and the only gin lab in the region which will give visitors the opportunity to make their very own gin and an onsite bistro offering locally sourced Welsh produce. With the distillery in nearby proximity to towns such as Llandudno, Conwy, Bangor and Anglesey, Aber Falls distillery is an ideal venue and activity for event planners looking for meeting space, a great team building activity, an team incentive or somewhere to entertain delegates out of conference.
