Penderyn Whisky opens a new £5 million flagship distillery based in the historic town of Llandudno in North Wales. The doors opened on 1 June 2021, the distillery produces a whisky at an industry high of 92% ABV and is key to the delicate spirit – producing a peated barley single malt whisky.

Llandudno is a Victorian seaside resort on the North Wales coast, the major tourist attraction offers a range of hotel and venue choices with a number of attractions nearby and an amazing promenade that runs along the Irish Sea for nearly two miles. Distillers at Penderyn said the setting of the distillery was an inspiration to their process.

The new distillery will offer an exclusive opportunity for a behind the scenes tour to discover how the company produce their award–winning whiskies and spirits - a fantastic new incentive and a must for your future incentive itineraries.

This 'all weather' attraction is located in a Grade II listed Victorian building, Old Board School. It houses the distillery room, tasting bar, exhibition area, and masterclass room.  The fascinating history of Llandudno is also featured and includes the history of the school itself.

We’ve already have a solid base of loyal customers in North Wales, but having the distillery and visitor centre in Llandudno will put us in a stronger position to further develop our brand and networks across the region and beyond.”
