Tour de France 2027 is Coming to Wales

Wales will host Stage 3 of the men’s Tour de France on Sunday 4 July 2027, with the route running from Y Trallwng (Welshpool) to Caerdydd (Cardiff) – the spectacular climax of the UK Grand Départ.

For the first time ever, this worldrenowned event comes to Wales, marking an historic moment for the nation and offering powerful opportunities for the corporate events sector, including associations, conferences, teambuilding programmes and incentive groups. Geraint Thomas: Cycling Ambassador for Wales

To coincide with the route reveal, Geraint Thomas OBE, two-time Olympic Champion and winner of the 2018 Tour de France, has been named Wales’ Cycling Ambassador. 

In the run up to 2027, Geraint will work with Visit Wales to champion the world-class cycling offer Wales has; our road climbs, mountain biking, gravel and family-friendly, traffic-free trails.
