Tyn Llwyfan is situated at the foothills of the Carneddau Range- the most Northern part of Snowdonia National Park. Situated above the quarry village of Llanfairfechan and overlooking the beautiful views of the North Wales coast, the farm is situated just below a Celtic hill fort called Dinas. Sheep graze among Celtic cairns and burial mounds while the protected and well loved Carneddau Mountain Ponies: a rare native breed, roam wild on the wonderful Carneddau Mountains.Astonishingly the farmstead site has been archeologically proved to be the first axe "factory" in the world, dating back to 6000 BC.Tyn Llwyfan is steeped in history. The Jones family have farmed the land for over 370 years. Gareth is outspoken and passionate about his livelihood, seeking to educate about sustainable and seasonal food farming, tis heritage and time -honoured traditions. He is also a best selling author, a regal contributor on social media and is known as the "tweeting" farmer.
