Jemma Smith has Master’s (MA) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Post-Compulsory Education & Training, and brings both academic depth and practical pedagogical experience to her role.

In her work at UWTSD, Jemma leads curriculum development and delivery in the field of gastronomy management, shaping how students engage with the global food industry, culture, and management practices. Drawing on her academic qualifications and her educational training, she supports students to develop professional skills, industry awareness and the capacity to navigate the evolving landscape of international gastronomy.

I am passionate about Wales and its rich gastronomic heritage, driven to showcase our vibrant food culture to the world while nurturing the next generation of culinary talent. Through collaboration, education, and innovation, we can celebrate Welsh ingredients, producers, and chefs, inspiring pride in our national cuisine.
