Bringing CLIC2025 the annual international conference for the Consortium of Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships (CLIC), a global medical/clinical education conference focused on innovative ways of training and preparing medical students for practice, to Wales has been an absolute pleasure. It will be the first time that this global CLIC conference has been hosted in Europe. Cardiff University and Wales is held up as one of the leading lights on the global stage in delivering longitudinal integrated clerkships and longitudinal educational models. The conference brings together delegates from around the world to form collaborations, share best practice and innovation to answer the major challenges in health professions education and develop sustainable solutions through global multi-agency working. Our conference theme is “’Mewn undod mae nerth / Strength in union’: Realising strength and transforming community engaged medical education through collaboration and interdisciplinary” and provides us a further opportunity to showcase Wales and cement our reputation on world stage. It is a privilege and an honour to be invited to be a Conference Ambassador and be part of the Network. This is an opportunity for me to continue to champion in my role as Professor of Medical Education (Centre of Medical Education, Cardiff University) our reputation as a Centre of Excellence in the innovation and delivery of education and training for all Health Professionals.
