75 delegates from 19 countries

Adventure Parc Snowdonia, the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon, was the natural choice for the International Surf Park Summit 2017, welcoming 75 delegates from 19 countries for the two day event. Investors, developers and suppliers stayed on site in Adventure Parc Snowdonia’s heated wooden glamping pods and participated in presentations, group discussions, break-outs and networking focused on surf park industry developments and best practice.

We were excited to host a global gathering of companies and individuals that are at the forefront of shaping the future of surfing beyond the ocean. It was incredible to host our first ever European edition of Surf Park Summit at Surf Snowdonia. We have an immense level of respect and admiration for what Andy and his team have accomplished here over the past few years. As pioneers in the development of man-made surf destinations and operators of the first commercial Wavegarden, they have a wealth of knowledge to share and have served as one of the biggest catalysts for the surf park industry to date.”

Delegates also enjoyed a drinks reception and full on-site catering, and got the opportunity to try out Surf Snowdonia’s powerful two metre wave for themselves, just one of the fantastic activities available alongside the ‘Adrenaline Indoors’ six indoor adventures from high ropes, caving and a zip line.

I thought the event went really well. The Surf Snowdonia team were an absolute dream to work with, as were the other contractors we came in to contact with. I was happy with the food and particularly with the flexibility of the staff around our equally flexible timing. As a venue, given the constraints of the size and shape of the room we were in, it was fine. It worked well and we were happy with it. The bottom line is that I've come away almost in disbelief at the professionalism of the team you guys have put together, it is a well-oiled machine of smiling people helping other have a great time, and we’re very happy with how things panned out. Sincere thanks.”
