Flexible meeting and event space, a dedicated wellbeing garden and unique heritage experiences strengthen North Wales' business events offer.

Following an extensive redevelopment, the newly named Football Museum of Wales and Wrexham Museum opened on 25 September 2026, bringing together Welsh football heritage and the history of Wrexham in a landmark city-centre setting. Alongside its new galleries and visitor experience, the venue offers flexible spaces for corporate meetings, business events, networking receptions and private functions, providing organisers with another compelling option in North Wales.

Housed within the extensively refurbished former county buildings, the museum celebrates Wales' footballing past and present while showcasing Wrexham's rich cultural, industrial and community heritage. The attraction builds on the city's long-standing place in Welsh football history, with Wrexham widely recognised as the birthplace of the Football Association of Wales, which was founded in the city in 1876.

The museum is home to the official Welsh Football Collection, the largest public collection relating to Welsh football, and features new galleries exploring the people, moments and communities that have shaped both the game and the region. Exhibitions highlight themes including fan culture, Welsh-language communities and the diverse experiences that have contributed to football's place within Welsh society.

For organisers of corporate meetings and business events, the Football Museum of Wales and Wrexham Museum offers a distinctive setting for conferences, networking events, receptions and private functions. Located in Wrexham city centre, the venue provides flexible hire spaces, including an impressive atrium, conference facilities and outdoor event areas. The conference room can accommodate between 80 to 100 delegates and opens directly onto a private wellbeing garden, a fully enclosed outdoor space that can be used for informal networking, refreshment breaks and delegate downtime. The venue also features a large touchscreen, audio-visual equipment and adaptable room layouts suitable for presentations, workshops and business meetings. Formal dining can be accommodated for up to 60 guests, while drinks receptions can host up to 100 attendees. Private guided tours of the museum's football and heritage galleries can also be incorporated into events, creating memorable delegate experiences and networking opportunities.

Located in the heart of Wrexham, the venue adds to North Wales' growing portfolio of meeting and event spaces, combining contemporary facilities with a unique sense of place and a compelling Welsh story.

The museum's opening further strengthens North Wales' business events offer, brining together modern meeting facilities, a dedicated wellbeing garden, exclusive hire opportunities and authentic Welsh storytelling in one distinctive venue.
